Our area is beginning to experience a drought due to lack of rain
We are posting this to make customers aware that due to the lack of rain in our area, we need to be careful and conservative in the use of our water.
We are in contact with the Rusk County Groundwater Conservation District and working to monitor drought conditions.
Should there be no significant rain in the next 30 days, we will be required to initiate our Drought Contingency Plan - Stage 1.
If Stage 1 of our Drought Contingency Plan is initiated, we will post it on this site and work to get the information out to everyone concerned.
In the meantime, our water customers are encouraged to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes.
